  • Altered State Distillery
    • Altered State Distillery has won several awards for their organic distilled spirits and offer them in a variety of cocktails in their tasting room. They have several vegan cocktails including frozen piña coladas and hurricanes and others using real fruits and fresh ingredients. Drinks are not necessarily labeled vegan on the menu, but allergen info is usually noted in social posts. Pro tip: Go when there is nice weather to enjoy a drink and live music on the back patio! They're also dog friendly!
  • Amigo Taquiera and Botanas
    • Amigo Taqueria is a newer fast casual restaurant near the Millcreek Mall that serves up Mexican street style foods and fruit based snacks. You can build your own bowl, burrito, taco or quesadilla with fresh veg and vegan beans. (Currently their rice is not vegan and no vegan cheese is offered.) Chips, salsa, and guac are also vegan. Pro tip: For an afternoon pick me up, try their mangonada (mango sorbet with chamoy), fruta or fruta loca (watermelon, cantaloupe, mango, pineapple slices with chamoy sauce, tajin, lime, and tamarind candies) which are all vegan.
  • Andora's Bubble Tea Shop
    • Andora's Bubble Tea Shop is located in the heart of downtown Erie and offers a variety of tea and milk based smoothies and bubble/boba tea drinks. Build your own drink, in house specials, and smoothies all have vegan milk alternatives. Ingredients are listed for every drink so you can order with confidence. Pro-tip: Overwhelmed by the options? The staff is great and can help you decide! Just ask!
  • Annapurna Kitchen
    • Annapurna Kitchen is woman and refugee owned Nepalese, Indian, and Bhutanese restaurant located just outside downtown Erie on the east side town. Vegan items are not labeled, but there are labeled vegetable options for nearly every item on the menu that can most often be made vegan upon request. Some of the foods they serve are momo, samosa, soups, noodle and rice dishes, curries, and veg platters. Pro tip: try the veg momos! 
  • Bar Ronin
    • Bar Ronin is relatively new, but has already made a splash with their Insta-worthy cocktails, edgy contemporary decor, and grafitied walls. They serve upper scale Japanese dishes with a rotating season based menu. Vegan options are labeled with "VE" on the menu. There are more vegetarian ("V") options than vegan, but not all can be modified to be vegan. Pro tip: Order the shishito peppers.
  • Blaze Pizza
    • Blaze Pizza is a chain pizza restaurant located in the upper Peach St. area of Erie. Blaze has a super helpful online tool cleverly called "Special Diets Wizard" to help you navigate the menu according to your dietary needs. For vegans, you just click "Animal Products" as the allergen you want to avoid, click "Go," and a complete list of menu items that are vegan will filter out making it insanely easy for you to order vegan confidently! Vegan items are clearly marked on the menu and include vegan crust, sauces, cheese, desserts, and plant based chorizo.
  • Bro Man Sammiches
    • Bro Man started as a food truck, but now has a permanent location inside the Gulf Mart gas station on the corner of Peach and Robinson in Erie. They specialize in sandwiches, burgers, and birria tacos and have at least one vegan option in each menu category. Vegan options most use Impossible meat as a meat sub. Vegan choices are outright vegan and labeled on the menu and include Quesabirria Tacos, cheesesteak, torta, Impossible burgers are served on a brioche bun, but can be made with a lettuce wrap instead to make them vegan. Pro tips: Their food truck is active during warmer months again now! Check socials for where they'll be throughout the summer! They're pretty active on IG and FB, but FB seems to have more posts on menus and specials.
  • Casablanca Grill
    • Casablanca Grill offers authentic and home-cooked Middle-Eastern and Mediterranean meals using organic spices and herbs. Vegan items are not clearly marked on the menu though there are many, but the menus do say to mention if you have any dietary restrictions so the very friendly and helpful staff can help with recommendations and offer vegan substitutions when possible.

  • Chippers Seafood and Southern Fusion
    • Chippers is located in the heart of downtown Erie and serves up southern comfort foods. They do have a couple outright vegan menu items that are labeled (marked with "V") like the vegan fried chicken (cauliflower) and a handful of sides are also vegan. They are not active on social and have not answered several messages and calls to find out if their vegetarian land boil bag can be made vegan if omitting the butter. We will continue trying to contact to find out and will update when possible.
  • Dina's Authentic Dominican Kitchen
    • Dina's is bringing Dominican food to downtown Erie in the Flagship City Food Hall! Their menu does not have vegan options labeled, but they do have a handful of vegan options to choose from including two different types of rice, guacamole, salad, arepitas de yuca (yuca fritters), tostones (fried plantains), and vegetable empanadas. Pro tip: empanadas are made daily so when they sell out, you're S.O.L! 
  • Dinner is Served by Lisa
    • Dinner is Served by Lisa is a catering and to go business that creates healthy meals for people that need a little extra help with meals. Lisa creates a weekly menu and posts on her social. You can place an order by calling and simply pick up your meals on a pre-arranged pick up date. There are sometimes outright labeled vegan menu options, but also simple modifications can be made for vegan and other dietary needs. Lisa also serves breakfast and lunch (wraps, salads, coffee, soups) at the Erie Courthouse basement in the Courthouse Cafe during the work week 8am-2pm. Dairy and gluten free options are available at the Courthouse Cafe. 
  • Donatos Pizza
    • Donatos Pizza is a chain pizza restaurant based out of Ohio. They offer clearly labeled vegan crust, plant based meat toppings, and various vegetable toppings for custom build your own vegan pizzas or pre-designed pizzas that can be customized with vegan substitutions. Currently vegan cheese is not on the menu.

  • E Dogg's Hot Dogs and Bistro  - Open Seasonally 
    • E Dogg's Hot Dogs is a made to order hot dog food cart during the warmer months and the Bistro is a soup and sandwich popup during the winter. Owner, Eric, takes special care for vegan customers to ensure no cross contamination and has outright labeled vegan items on the menu! There is separate storage and grill used for vegan dogs on the cart as well! The Bistro always has a vegan soup special and on their blog posts, vegan recipes are always shared! Check social (more active on FB) for up to date specials and pop-up locations.

  • Eat Your Yard
    • Eat Your Yard Erie is a woman owned and run landscaping company that is an incredible resource for those looking to expand their home's yard and gardens. They provide a variety of services from consultations on how best to utilize your space to a full garden overhaul so you can grow your own foods. They also provide a wide variety of resources such as a how-to garden manual that lists step by step how to succeed with your yard and a list of local garden stores, yard supplies, and online tools. Workshops are also held often so check social for info on those.
  • Ember + Forge 
    • Ember + Forge is a coffee shop located in the heart of downtown Erie. They serve up coffee, tea, and other drinks with vegan milk alternatives. They often have vegan baked goods and snacks.
  • Erie Ale Works
    • Erie Ale Works is your local neighborhood microbrewery located just west of downtown Erie. They focus on making quality beer and providing an inclusive, welcoming atmosphere and avoid animal based additives in their beers, making them vegan. On the rare occasion lactose is used in the brewing processing, they do label it on their menu. While they don't have an in-house kitchen, they frequently partner with local food vendors, the majority of which are vegan friendly. You're also welcome to bring your own or order takeout from surrounding restaurants. Check their social or subscribe to their weekly emails for food vendor schedules and menus, drink specials, pop ups, and community events like their Benevolent Beers fundraisers or beach clean ups.
  • Erie Food Co-Op / The Co-Op Cafe and Bakery
    • Erie Food Co-Op (FKA Whole Foods Co-Op) is a health food grocery store with a made to order cafe, bakery, and grab & go pre-made meals now with two locations in Erie. Vegan foods are clearly labeled on the cafe, bakery, and pre-made meals. There are often specials in the cafe, so check social for menu updates! The grocery portion of the store has a pretty large variety of vegan items like cheeses, frozen items, baking goods, and bulk dry goods like beans and nuts. Pro-tip: You do not have to be a member of the Co-Op to shop here.

  • F & F Poke Bowl
    • F & F Poke Bowl has two locations in Erie, both of which have several vegan food and drink options. Customers can build their own poke bowls (a Hawaiian dish) with a rice or greens base and choose from a selection of vegan toppings and sauces. Vegan options are not labeled, but can be requested (vegan ramen broth substitute available). Check F&F's social for specials and updates.

  • Fine Restaurant & Bar 
    • Fine Restaurant & Bar is an Indian, Indo-Chinese, and Nepalese restaurant located on the east side of Erie. Though vegan options are not labeled, they do have several appetizers and an entree section of the menu labeled as vegetarian options with some outright vegan options as well as things that can be vegan with modifications. 
  • Fresh Healthy Cafe
    • Fresh Healthy Cafe focuses on healthy whole foods and offers veg focused smoothies, juices, power bowls, wraps, paninis, salads, plant based meats and more. Vegan items are not labeled, but the staff is allergen aware and suggest substitutions when available. There are now two locations in Erie, one in the Millcreek Mall food court and the second in downtown Erie. Online ordering method is very intuitive and user friendly to ensure your order is vegan.

  • Gem City Dinor
    • Gem City Dinor is a breakfast and brunch spot tucked away in the corner of a strip mall near the Erie Airport. Vegan options are not marked on the menu, but there are some vegan friendly items like avocado toast, salads, falafel wrap. They are pretty vegan friendly if you just tell your server and they can help you navigate the menu and even offer some off the menu items if they're able. Pro tip: They get pretty busy on weekends, so go early or be prepared to wait.

  • Give a Crepe La CrepErie 
    • Give a Crepe is located in the historic Federal Hills district of downtown Erie and make locally sourced from scratch crepes. They are incredibly vegan friendly and have a vegan/gf batter, vegan fillings for both savory and sweet and are also often they are able to make a vegan sub for any non vegan menu item. They can also make custom vegan crepe cake for special occasions. Give a Crepe also has popups throughout the year at events and other local businesses. Pro-tip: Give a Crepe often hosts multi course ticketed dinners with an entire vegan menu! Check social for specials and popups.
  • Golden Wok
    • Golden Wok serves up vegan friendly classic Chinese dishes and Japanese sushi rolls with lunch and dinner specials. There are vegetable offerings in nearly every category (soups, apps, rice, chow mein, etc) well as a separate menu category for just vegetable based plates. Menu items are not labeled vegan, but can be made so upon request.
    • Gommie's Pizza - Open Seasonally
      • Gommie's is owned by the same folks that own Ippa Pizza food truck. This is their permanent structured restaurant that is open during the fall and winter months. Gommie's follows the same quality and locally sourced mission as the food truck. This menu is slightly different than Ippa's in that there is no outright vegan pizza on the menu, but there is a build your own option where you can load up on the veggies. There is no vegan cheese currently offered so all vegan pizzas will be cheese-less.
    • Habibi Mediterranean Restaurant
      • Habibi is a locally owned Mediterranean restaurant in the downtown area that offers several authentic and vegan friendly menu items. Vegan items are not marked on the menu, but they do have a small vegetarian section on the menu clearly marked. Vegan substitutions can be made on most menu items.
    • Herb and Honey Bakery
      • Herb & Honey is a baked good company serving up breads, pastries, and other carby delights. Weekly pre-orders can be placed online for pickup at Urbaniak Brothers Market. There is an entire section on the menu labeled vegan and vegan items are also noted in product descriptions. Pro tip: Check their social for specials as sometimes there are weekly vegan specials available!  
    • Ippa Pizza Napoletana - Open Seasonally
      • Ippa is a badass freight liner truck with a shipping container body pizza food truck mainly stationed in the Glenwood Park area of Erie. They look tough, but are owned by the kindest folks who are serious about their pizza. They use fresh ingredients and local farmers for their produce. There is one outright vegan pizza on their menu, the Mary pizza, however, you can also build your own and add on veggies to your pie. Vegan cheese is currently not offered so the vegan pizzas are cheese-less. They are a food truck so they are only open seasonally. Ippa owners also have a permanent structured restaurant called Gommie's which is also open seasonally during the fall and winter. Scroll up to find Gommie's listing and info.
    • Jekyll & Hydes Gastropub
      • Jekyll & Hydes is a cozy bar in a renovated 100 year old building located in downtown Erie offering casual vegan bar eats like burgers, cauliflower wings, falafel pita, and snacks. Vegan entree options are marked on menu, but sides are not. The staff is helpful with navigating the menu if you are unsure and they usually have a vegan alternative for condiments (mayo, dressings, butter, etc). Check Jekyll & Hydes' social for weekly specials which always include vegan option(s) that are clearly labeled! Pro tip: get the ramen slaw for your side! 
    • Lavery Brewing Co. 
      • Lavery is a casual and friendly brewery that offers craft beers and seasonal unique twists on classic bar food such as nachos, burgers, and tacos. Vegetarian/vegan menu items are marked on the menu and when ordering online, very conveniently you can select vegan or other allergens to avoid and substitutions will be made. Check Lavery's social for daily specials.
    • Like My Thai
      • Like My Thai is located in downtown Erie and focuses on creating authentic and popular Korean, Thai, Chinese, and Indonesian dishes such as rice, noodle, and curry dishes. Vegan items are not labeled on the menu, but there are various menu items that are outright vegan as well as offering tofu or veggie options on several dishes to make them vegan. Check Like My Thai's social for daily and weekly specials that often include vegan options.  
    • Lucky Louie's Beer and Wieners
      • Lucky Louie's serves up unique and custom wieners (hot dogs) most which can be made vegan. Wieners that can be made vegetarian and vegan are marked with a "V" on the menu and are substituted with a Veggie Jumbo Smart Dog wiener. The veggie dogs are cooked on a separate part of the grill from the regular wieners. Note there is an up-charge for the veggie wiener substitution. In the summer, they have a outdoor dining area. 
    • Mad Mex
      • Mad Mex is a Pittsburgh, PA based chain that offers Mexican classics with modern flavors with tons of vegan options. Vegetarian items are clearly labeled and can be made vegan with Daiya Cheese Tofutti Cream Cheese, and vegan chorizo substitutions.
    • Majestic Baking Company
      • Majestic has become an icon in Erie for baking for over 100 years. All sourdough breads are vegan. They often have vegan pinwheels and other specialty baked goods available. You can pre-order online, shop in person at the bakery on weekends, at The Juice Jar and Whole Foods Co-Op, or at various farmers markets during the summer. 
    • Mason Farms
      • Mason Farms started out in Lake City and has grown to have permanent shops and summertime pop-ups all over the Erie area. On their 350+ acres of land, they grow a variety of crops as well as nursery plants. You can pick your own produce at the farm in Lake City during the growing season or join their CSA for fresh produce all summer long. Check their website or social for up to date info on pick your own, what produce is available, and more specials.
    • Mr. Hungry
      • Mr. Hungry is a newer all Halal Middle Eastern restaurant in Little Italy that has a handful of vegan menu items though they're not labeled on the menu. Veg options include: hummus, falafel, vegetarian plate, lentil soup, baba ganoush, and tabbouli salad. They also offer catering, takeout, and party trays.
    • My Way Bar and Grill
      • My Way gives more dive bar vibes than a bar and grill, imo, but their Indian and Nepalese food is worth the stop! It is on the east side of town, almost to Lawrence Park. Vegan items are not labeled on the menu, but include momos (dumplings), chaumin (chow mein), and a vegetable rice dish. Double check with your server that these items be made vegan. They have karaoke, a pool table, dance floor, and often have Nepalese holiday celebrations for all to join in on.
    • Namaste Indian Nepali Kitchen
      • Namaste has a solid vegan friendly selection of Indian, Nepalese, and Thai dishes. While items are not marked vegan, there is a veg option in nearly every category and there is a vegetarian section of the menu, many of which can be made vegan if not already. Vegan friendly options include momos, pakora, pad Thai, curries, noodle and rice dishes. Pro tip: Each menu item has a picture and description so you don't need to feel intimidated or uneasy if you're unfamiliar with some of the dish names!
    • New York Bagel & Deli
      • NY Bagel is a family owned and operated bakery with 21 bagel flavors that are made fresh daily to choose from. Though not labeled, the majority of their bagels are vegan, aside from the obviously not vegan egg and cheese flavors. They also offer a bagel sandwich, Grazer, that is vegan without cheese.
    • NoodleLove
      • NoodleLove is an Asian fusion vendor in the downtown Erie Food Hall. They are incredibly vegan (and gluten free) friendly with a clearly labeled menu with tons of options to choose from! You can choose from pre-designed noodle entrees with lots of veg and flavor or build your own bowl of noodles. There is a roasted tofu protein add on for any dish as well for a small up-charge. 
    • Olive Garden
      • Olive Garden has an incredibly helpful dining chart designed for vegetarian and vegan diners. They are transparent about their kitchen standards and clearly outline which options are vegan (and vegetarian). Vegan can still enjoy their classic soup (minestrone), salad (w/ oil & vinegar dressing), and breadsticks options as well as a handful of pastas. 
    • Osaki
      • Osaki is a Japanese hibachi and sushi restaurant in the Millcreek Mall parking lot. Vegan options are not labeled on the menu, but there is a vegetarian sushi roll section, hibachi meals have a vegetable option (note: this is also served with shrimp and fried rice -ask with no egg), and tofu is offered with the teriyaki meal. Double check with your server about making your meal vegan. Pro tip: The peanut and avocado sushi roll is a pretty solid choice if you're torn between rolls!
    • Palm Tree Market
      • Palm Tree Market is a hidden gem Middle Eastern market with a small kitchen that makes made to order Middle Eastern favorites. The menu is a little obscure and you're best off calling ahead to make sure the kitchen is open. Vegan options are falafel, baba ganoush, hummus, fattoush, and pita. Falafel come 10 for only $3.50 and the hummus comes as a huge portion! Pro tip: You can find some solid vegan pantry stapes such as beans, rice, flours, teas, and snacks in the small market area while you wait for your food.
    • Pearl Delights
      • Pearl Delights designs and bakes gorgeous vegan gourmet desserts including cakes, cupcakes, and cookies. All ingredients are cruelty free and packaging is compostable and waste free. Orders are taken by appointment only. Pro tip: Plan ahead because her order calendar books up months in advance!
    • Perry's Tavern
      • Located at the bar at the Flagship City Food Hall in downtown Erie, Perry's offers "Erie's Sexiest Pizzas." The menu occasionally changes, but there is typically at least one outright or vegan friendly pizza on the menu. As of Spring 2023, The Papa Joe pizza on the menu is outright vegan and labeled as such! You can also DIY a pizza with the several veggie toppings offered. There is no vegan cheese currently offered. Pro tip: Their happy hour deals for both food and drink slap. Thursday and Saturdays are half off pizzas when you dine in! There's also entertainment most weeknights.

      • Pier 6 has a couple of vegan friendly options to enjoy while you soak up the views of the bay front. Vegan friendly options are not labeled, but include mezze platter, falafel and pepper pita, salads, and a couple sides. There is a black bean burger on the menu that we are working to find out if it is vegan or not. Will update once known.

      • Pizza Pete's Pizzeria is a local pizza joint in Erie that offers vegan cheese (Daiya brand), crust, and sauce and lots of veggies for toppings. There is no vegan pizza listed on their menu, but they do note to let them know about dietary restrictions and the staff is helpful with substituting with vegan alternatives. You can build your own pizza or modify one of their specialty pizzas. Pro tip: Order the Euro Pete made vegan. *Chef's kiss*
    • PopLuck Gourmet Popcorn
      • PopLuck offers in house and small batch made popcorn whose creatively named flavors rotate daily. Vegan flavors are marked with a green sticker on the daily menu and there are generally 2-3 vegan flavors always on the menu. Check Popluck's social for their current rotation of popcorn flavors and specials!
    • Pressed
      • Pressed is a coffee shop and bookstore in one! The coffee shop side offers coffee, tea, and other drinks that can be made with milk alternatives. In the bookstore, they carry a variety of books on health foods, gardening, foraging, and vegan cookbooks.  
    • Purrista Cat Cafe
      • Erie's first and only cat cafe, Purrista, is such a gem in downtown Erie! Not only can you spend time with adoptable kitties, but you can also drink and snack on several vegan options! Sundae Vegan Desserts and Herb and Honey Bakery have a rotating offering of vegan items that you can purchase at the cafe as well as non-dairy milks for your coffees and teas. Pro tip: They often have fun special after hour events and workshops like cat yoga and painting classes so check social if you'd like to get involved!
    • Room 33 Speakeasy & Cafe
      • Room 33 is a unique prohibition era speakeasy bar and restaurant located in downtown Erie that offers sharable small dishes, entrees, and an extensive craft cocktail, beer and wine menu. Vegan entrees are clearly marked on menu with "VG" and vegetarian and gluten free are also marked. They often have vegan friendly specials that are posted on social. Pro tip: They have great happy hour options. Go for HH, stay for dinner. 
    • Rita's Italian Ice
      • Rita's is a PA franchise that has two locations in Erie. While all of their ice creams and custards do contain dairy, all but one Italian Ice flavor is actually vegan, including the sugar free flavors as well! (Chocolate chocolate chip flavor contains dairy) There is over 50 rotating Italian Ice flavors to choose from! Note: The two locations have different menus and flavors rotate often so please check socials or website for current offerings at each location!
    • Samurai Kitchen + Sushi
      • Samurai Kitchen + Sushi serves up brightly colored and flavored Indonesian and Japanese cuisine. Their vegan offerings are not uniformly labeled, but some menu items do note vegan substitutions like with their Pho broth. Vegetable hibachi, ramen, veg based sushi rolls (ask for sweet potato roll to be steamed instead of tempura fried to be vegan), Pho, fried rice, and a few other items are outright vegan or can be made so with options of substituting with tofu. Check Samurai's social for regular announcements of specials. 
    • Stuffed Pierogi Co.
      • Stuffed Pierogi Co. makes homemade pierogis to order, using fresh and local ingredients as much as possible. They are sold frozen and by the dozen. Vegan options are clearly labeled and ingredients are listed. Orders can be made online and delivered within 15 miles of 16505. They're also sold weekly at Gordon's Meat Market on Peach St., with rotating fillings, but vegan options are not always in the rotation.
    • Sundae Vegan Desserts
      • Sundae Vegan Desserts is a popup and special order business that offers all vegan desserts such as cupcakes, brownies, and cookies that are packaged in biodegradable or recyclable materials. During warmer months, Sundae has an ice cream truck that has only vegan ice cream! A portion of all proceeds go towards various animal rescue organizations. You can also find Sundae's goods at Purrista Cat Cafe. Check Sundae's social for pop-up locations, specials and dessert box offers. 
    • Tandoori Hut Indian Cuisine
      • Tandoori Hut, an Indian and Pakistani cuisine restaurant, was previously located in downtown Erie, but has now moved to the more west side of town. They have an extensive menu that does clearly label vegetarian or vegetable based dishes, but vegan options are not labeled. Many items can be made vegan by request. 
    • Taste and See Smoothies
      • Taste and See is located in the Flagship City Food Hall in and is bringing a healthy dose of fruits and veggies to downtown Erie! Vegan options are not labeled on the menu, but there are plenty of options to choose from like simple breakfast items like toast and oatmeal, smoothies, juices, fruit slushies, build your own salad, and wraps. Pro tip: You can load up your oatmeal bowls with a variety of toppings and are vegan chocolate chips are one of them!! 
    • Thai Eatery
      • Thai Eatery is located on Peach St. by the Millcreek Mall. Vegan options are not labeled on the menu, but they do have several vegan friendly appetizers and entrees such as soups, tofu salad, spring rolls, noodle or rice dishes, a variety of stir fry dishes, and curries. Their online ordering system is super simple and very vegan friendly! On menu items you select, you can type in special instructions, check the option that says "vegan" or select your protein option as tofu, veggie, no meat etc. Super easy!
    • The Freezerie Open Seasonally
      • The Freezerie is owned and run by a father and son team that create made from scratch ice cream. They have a rotation of unique and traditional vegan ice creams and offer 3-4 vegan flavors daily. The flavors are regularly posted on their Facebook page and are listed as "DFV," aka dairy free/vegan. 
    • The Juice Jar
      • The Juice Jar offers a variety of fruit and vegetable based juices, smoothies, vital shots, sweet treats, and breakfast and lunch items. Smoothies are made with plant milks, vegan bakery items are clearly labeled, and breakfast and lunch specials are either outright vegan or can be made vegan upon request. Check The Juice Jar's social for daily specials and their ever evolving creative menu!
    • The Original Popcorn House
      • The Original Popcorn House makes fresh gourmet popcorn daily in refillable tins. The garden vegetable flavor is clearly marked vegan on the online menu and though not labeled as vegan, we were told the plain and kettle corn flavor are also vegan. In store, they also have cotton candy, vanilla butternut, and everything (think everything bagel) flavors which are all marked as vegan. 
    • Tipsy Bean Cafe
      • Tipsy Bean Cafe is a coffee shop located in the Hill District of Erie with indoor and outdoor garden spaces for you to enjoy your favorite coffee or tea drinks. There are vegan non-dairy milk options for your drinks for an up-charge and they occasionally have vegan soups and other snacks on their daily menu. Dine in and you can use one of their sustainable mugs to enjoy your drinks instead of creating waste! Pro tip: Visit Tipsy Bean's next door neighbor, Give a Crepe, for a vegan crepe and get a discount on your Tipsy Bean beverage! 
    • Torero's Mexican Restaurant
      • Torero's serves up classic Mexican food dishes such as fajitas, burritos, and enchiladas. They have a labeled vegetarian section of their lunch and dinner menus, though no options are outright vegan. Upon request, most of these dishes can be made vegan with modifications. 
    • Wild Field Urban Farm
      • Wild Field is an eco-conscious urban farm on the east side of Erie that grows flowers, herbs, and produce. They never use pesticides or insecticides on their plants and focus on using organic and natural methods of farming. Wild Field offers seeds and seedlings, flower subscriptions, and of course produce. You can find them throughout the growing season at various farmers markets across town.
    • Wooden Ladle Ramen and Rice Bowl
      • Wooden Ladle has brought fresh and modern energy into the unique and beautiful old Stone House! As hinted by their name, they offer traditional Japanese dishes including ramen, rice bowls and dishes. The vegan options are plentiful here, though not labeled on the menu. For appetizers, edamame, veg tempura, and crispy tofu are all vegan as well as all salads are vegan. The Greens ramen and Garden Delight rice dishes are vegan without the ajitama (soft boiled eggs). Curry Rice dishes are outright vegan and can be made with just veg or tofu. There are a couple vegan ramen toppings that can be added to your dishes. Pro tip: BYOB for $10/bottle and get all the ~aesthetic pics~ for your IG feed. The dishes are gorgeously plated and the vibes are just right.

    Erie - One Hit Wonders

    • Bay House Oyster Bar and Restaurant
      • Bay House regular menu doesn't have any vegan friendly options, but their Sunday Brunch (served every Sunday 10-6) has a couple vegan friendly options. Best options will be to order a la carte and build your own breakfast. Toast, bagels, avocado, home fries, fruit salad, house salad, and sub vegan black bean patty on a burger are the vegan options.

      • Beechwood is located inside Erie Brewing Co.'s West Side location. There aren't any outright vegan options, but a couple options that could be modified to be such as the veggie tacos and salads. There is a veggie burger on the menu that we are working to find out if it is/can be made vegan and will update once known.

      • Burger King carries the Impossible Burger for a plant based Whopper. However, unless asked to be microwaved, it is cooked on the same grill as regular burgers. 
    • Calamari's Squid Row
      • Calamari's is located in downtown Erie and has a couple of vegan friendly menu items such as a hummus plate, salads with modifications, and BYO sandwiches with Beyond or portobello patties, though to be vegan, forgo the bread on the sandwiches as it currently contains milk and eggs. Check social for specials.

    • Chipper's Seafood and Southern Fusion
      • Chippers is located in the heart of downtown Erie and serves up southern comfort foods. They do have a couple outright vegan menu items that are labeled (marked with "V") like the vegan fried chicken (cauliflower) and a handful of sides are also vegan. They are not active on social and have not answered several messages and calls to find out if their vegetarian land boil bag can be made vegan if omitting the butter. We will continue trying to contact to find out and will update when possible.
    • Cloud 9 Wine Bar & Restaurant
      • Cloud 9 is a wine bar in downtown Erie with a couple vegan friendly appetizers and salads. There is no vegan entree, but a Mediterranean appetizer is outright vegan and a couple salads and sides can be made vegan.

      • Creamland is an ice cream stand that always has a rotation of Dole Whip flavors. They post semi-regularly on FB the current Dole flavor.
    • Federal Hill Smokehouse
      • Federal Hill Smokehouse has won several awards for their BBQ, but they dabble with veggies too by offering veggie wings (deep fried seitan). They can be ordered online, but to ensure they are prepared vegan, they suggest calling to place an order.
    • Icing on the Lake
      • Icing on the Lake no longer has a store front, but they do have a Sweet Vault (think vending machine) that they stock daily with their baked goods. There is not always a vegan option, but they do list on social what is being put in the Vault.

    • Lake Shore Country Club
      • Lake Shore dining is open to members and guests of members of the Club. Vegan items are not labeled on the menu and there is currently not a vegan friendly entree listed on their menu. However, there are smaller dishes that are vegan or could be made vegan such as bruschetta and a couple salads. They do sometimes have vegan specials so check social or call to get most up to date info.
    • Luminary Distilling
      • Luminary Distilling is a micro distillery that has spirits and has a couple vegan friendly food options at their Upper Peach St. location. (No food is served at their downtown Bottle Shop location.) There are no outright vegan options so everything will need to be modified to be vegan. Options include a Beyond burger, salads, and a grilled portobello sandwich. Sunday brunch menu has avocado toast (w/o poached egg), fruit and house salads that are vegan friendly.
    • Maria's Tasty Delights 
      • Maria's has been a summertime favorite in Erie for over 30 years! While they mostly have dairy based ice creams and frozen yogurts, they do carry Dole Whip! Menus do rotate so check social or call to see what current vegan or Dole options are being offered.
    • New York Lunch East
      • New York Lunch has an Impossible and falafel gyro, Impossible burger, and modified salads that are all vegan friendly.
    • Oliver's Rooftop
      • Oliver's is located on the upper floors of the Hampton Inn on the Bayfront. The vegan options are limited, but include the Asian cauliflower appetizer and modified salads. Pro tip: We've heard from several people that they asked their server if the kitchen could make a vegan option for them if possible and they were able to make a dish for them. No harm in asking and no guarantees, but be kind!
    • Outlaw Barbecue Revolution
      • Outlaw has one outright labeled vegan smoked rice bowl on their menu and vegetarian mushroom nachos. Salads can also be modified to be vegan.
    • Picasso's
      • Picasso's Venus de Milo is a vegetarian sandwich that can be made vegan by omitting/substituting some ingredients.
    • Pineapple Eddie Southern Bistro
      • Pineapple Eddie has been an Erie favorite for years because of their southern and Caribbean fusion dishes. They have a limited number of vegan options and they are not labeled on the menu, but the do sometimes have weekly specials that are vegan and are labeled. Check social for those specials. In the past, they did have a brunch that included vegan dishes
    • Sheetz Gas + Convenience Stores 
      • Sheetz have made to order items like sandwiches and burritos that can be made vegan. Some locations also have self serve Dole Whip. 
    • Sticks and Bricks Wood Fired Pizza
      • Sticks and Bricks has vegan red sauce, vegan mozzarella cheese  (for an up-charge), and 12 in cauliflower crust that is vegan. The regular crust is not guaranteed vegan. 
    • Taco Distro Food Truck
      • Taco Distro is a food truck located near the entrance of Presque Isle State Park next to Beach Zero. One partner in the truck also owns Federal Hill Smokehouse so the vegan taco on the truck is the same seitan recipe used at the Smokehouse. The tortillas are not outright vegan so be sure to ask for vegan tortillas. 
    • TGI Fridays
      • Fridays carries a Beyond Burger on their menu that will need to be modified to omit cheese and Fridays sauce to be vegan. 
    • The Cork 1794
      • The Cork clearly marks allergens on the menus with "VG" meaning vegan. Despite having the vegan label, there is actually no vegan menu items, just a couple vegetarian options with some that can be modified to be vegan (no entrees, just salads and sides).
    • The Straw Hat Sundae Shop
      • This is a second location for the Straw Hat who's main location is in North East. Their flavors rotate, but they carry the dairy free (vegan) brand of Perry's Ice Cream and usually have at least one vegan flavor. They can make shakes as well! Pro tip: They don't regularly post their rotating menu on social or the website so try messaging or calling before going.

      • Whippy Dip has two locations now for frozen treats. Flavors rotate and no menu is regularly posted online. The 26th and Chestnut location almost always has rotating Dole Whip options while the 12th St. rarely has Dole.

      • Woody's is a fun vibe and has great views of the bay, but vegan food options are limited to just a couple menu items, a modified veggie wrap, house salad, and potato chips. 

    Cambridge Springs

    •  Riverside Brewing Company
      • Riverside Brewing Co. is a brewery with a farm to table menu housed in a renovated barn from the 1800s. Only vegetarian options are labeled, but there are a couple of menu items that can be made vegan with substitutions. Vegan friendly options are a quinoa power bowl, garden salad, and a couple sides. There is a black bean burger on the menu that we are working to find out if it is vegan. Will update when known.

    Edinboro

    • Edinboro Market
      • Edinboro Market is a natural grocer in the heart of downtown Edinboro and is dedicated to sourcing natural, homemade, and hand grown products and produce all within 150 miles of them. They are very active on social and often announce specials, sales, new produce and products, and more so be sure to follow on FB or IG. 
    • Everest Restaurant
      • Tucked away just off the main street through downtown Edinboro, Everest is a Nepalese, Indo-China, and Indian restaurant with several labeled vegan options. Vegetarian items are clearly labled as well as some outright vegan options. There is a vegetarian section of the menu that says items can be made vegan upon request. Overall, they have a very vegan friendly menu and are willing to accommodate as best they can for vegans! 

    Fairview

    • Frank's Farm Market and Bakery
      • Frank's Farm Market is a seasonal produce, bakery, and garden based market out near Asbury Woods. They have all sorts of breads and baked goods, fresh produce, and locally made jarred goodies like jams and pickled veg as well as a ton of yard art and plants. Vegan items are not marked in the bakery and are pretty much limited to their loaves of bread, but they do carry a variety of fresh produce that make them a food stop for plant eaters!
    • The 'Que Abides
      • The 'Que Abides is a BBQ joint that has a physical location, food truck during warm months, and pop ups in the winter. While they're heavy on the meats, they do offer a couple vegan options, mostly with their popup menus. At their restaurant, they have a smoked jalapeño hummus and a black bean burger that is vegan without the aioli. Pop up menus rotate so there aren't always vegan options, so check socials for menus, but the vegan or vegan friendly options are always labeled!

    Kane

    • Table 105 Taproom & Eatery
      • Table 105 clearly labels their vegetarian menu items, but vegan items are not labeled. The vegan options from those vegetarian items are slim as the pizza dough and buns for burgers are not vegan. They do have a Beyond and portobello burger that can modified and served with a lettuce bun and some salads can be modified to be vegan.

    Meadville

    • Kettle Lake Kitchen
      • Kettle Lake Kitchen is located inside the Meadville Market House in downtown Meadville and serves up a variety of vegan options including salads, curries, falafel, sandwiches, bowls, and kombucha on tap. Menu is not labeled with vegan options. Food can be take out or counter service and eaten in the Market House. Check social for specials and most up to date menu as it rotates. 

    North East

    • Clorley Farm
      • Clorley Farms is a blueberry farm in North East. The farm has over 1,500 blueberry bushes to pick from every late July - Aug. You can spend the day on the farm picking your own and pay by the bucket, or you can purchase pre-picked berries. They often run specials so check FB (more active there than IG). They also have several farm animals you can interact with while on the farm like chickens, ducks, and goats. Pro tip: Go during a time they're running a special and pick enough berries to freeze and last you during the off season!
    • Post Apples CSA
      • Post Apples CSA is a farm in North East with an incredible history that has been serving the surrounding communities since 1890! You can join their CSA (community supported agriculture) program in which you will get scheduled boxes of produce from the farm during the summer and fall, about 22 weeks total. You also have the opportunity to work on the farm in exchange for a discount in the CSA program. You can also find Post Apples at various farmers markets during the warmer months where you can purchase produce without being a CSA member.
    • The Straw Hat Sundae Shop
      • The Straw Hat has become a staple for frozen sweets in the Lake Erie area over the past 50+ years. Flavors rotate, but there is always a few Perry's brand vegan ice creams and vegan Dole Whip available. Check The Straw Hat's Facebook for a current list of flavors. P.S. They also have special treats for dogs! They have a second location inside the Flagship Food Hall in downtown Erie.

    Oil City

    •  Core Goods
      • Core Goods is a local grocer that focuses on local, sustainable, quality, and nourishing foods and products. They have bulk pantry staples, grab and go meals, local produce, on tap kombucha, baked goods, and more. There is a membership option, but not necessary airy to shop there. They also encourage that you bring your own containers for the bulk items to be a more sustainable store. A list of available products and goods is updated every Tuesday and posted on their website. Vegan grab and go items are labeled led.

    Warren

    • The Arbor Coffee House
      • Located in downtown Warren, The Arbor Coffee House is a cozy neighborhood coffee shop offering vegan (and gluten free) options for beverages, breakfast, and light lunches. They have soy, almond, and oat milk for teas, coffees, and smoothies for a small upcharge. For breakfast, they have oatmeal and bagels and for lunch, salads, sautéed veggie, hummus, boca, or potato mushroom wraps that are outright vegan or can be made so by request. Vegan options are not labeled on the menu.
